The Emerging Entrepreneur Zone (EEZ) was born from a simple idea: to give young people real-world exposure to what it means to build a business, a career, and a sense of purpose. What began as a local networking effort through Small Business Milwaukee grew into a structured mentorship program for students ages 16–25 who are curious about entrepreneurship, leadership, and life after high school. After seeing how many students wanted guidance on choosing between college, starting a business, or entering the workforce, the EEZ was created to bridge that gap — connecting them directly with mentors, local entrepreneurs, and community leaders eager to share their experiences.
Since its start, the EEZ has evolved into a multi-class program built around hands-on learning, soft skill development, and networking confidence. Each class blends mentorship with real conversations, projects, and community engagement. The initiative continues to grow thanks to the support of sponsors, schools, and volunteers who believe in empowering the next generation of business leaders. At its core, the EEZ remains committed to one mission — helping young adults discover their path, build meaningful relationships, and develop the entrepreneurial mindset that turns ideas into action.
